If the above quote was told to a toddler, he would certainly bring the house down! And rightly so, because children can never stop exploring.
To channelize their energy and curiosity, we must provide them with the right tools. It is amazing to see how quickly children grasp these basic life skills when taught through the method.
Here’s my compilation of Toys that should be introduced to teach basic Life Skills amongst children:
Sensory Board
A board containing simple daily household items like lock, switch, hinges, velcro, zip, amongst other things. Making the curious mind explore those places, that are usually forbidden for a toddler.
Garden Tools
Something I wish I’d learned more as a child, connecting with nature through play is fascinating and important for children. It allows them to explore and consolidate things they experience and learn in real life.
To further your child’s outdoor education, encourage him or her to garden next to you, digging holes for seeds or pulling weeds. Also, spend time commenting on the things you see and discuss the ways plants grow.
Kitchen Sets
Children love to imitate! Which is why Kitchen Sets are a huge hit amongst them because much of our life revolves around food, procuring it, preparation, and cleaning after meals.
Chopping, stirring, moving play food from one container to another, and many more important motor skills are required in kitchen play. Play kitchens are also great learning toys because they encourage children to practice planning skills as they prepare “meals.”
